Shadow on our way…

My classmates and I went out together from a school event earlier to finish some important group stuff. There were four or five of us that night… enjoying each other’s company. While we were heading to a friend’s house not far from the venue where the show was held, the moment of laughter irresistably enveloped everyone. The road was a bit dark and the nearby residences had their lights off already. All we could hear were our loud giggles and squeels… we were very noisy.

As we reached halfway to our destination, I was already starting to feel uneasy. And I instantly gave my friends a passive hint to tone down their voices. Others didn’t quite get it, but one responded, who was also struck a bit by a haunting paranoia that time. She then made a follow-up attempt to silent them. But still, the rest of them kept on with their business. Coincidentially, she was beside me that time.

We were nearing our destination and I was already looking straight ahead. My friends remained carefree, not minding the eerieness of the night’s silence. I still locked my sight on the road as if expecting someone from afar. We continued walking, then suddenly, my eyes captured something up ahead. A vague shadowy image strode across the other side of the road. It was very fast, like a blink of an eye.

I instanly turned to my peers, and surprisingly, the friend beside me quickly confirmed what I saw and made a secret gesture to pull my acts together. She saw it, too, and she didn’t want to frighten the others. So, I decided to subtly call their attention to keep quiet. This time, they understood the implication of my concern and started to settle. Our pace went faster, and I kept on watching on the very spot where I saw the black figure.

Eventually, we passed through it. I gazed around the area and I saw no one or nothing for that matter.

I realized that it was some sort of a warning or something. Who knew what would probably transpire if we continued to mess around? We arrived at our friend’s house safe and sound. But that experience still lingers in my mind until now. That was a lesson for all of us. There’s always an appropriate time and place to make nuisances with your friends.

it was 10:30 pm i was at my friends house we're waiting for her to come... kasi sabi nya samahan ko daw sya.... ako talaga nakakaramdam ako... matagal na and she's my best friend since elementary... hindi nya lalam na nakakaramdam ako kasi baka matakot sya...(at walang may alam sa gift o curse ko) sa totoo lang matagal na kong may nararamdaman sa bahay nila... palagi kasing bumibigat ang likod ko.. isa un sa mga signs ko na may kasama ako... and then i was at their sala... and she go out to buy something.. when suddenly my back felt so heavy again... sumakit ng sumakit... and then suddenly the tv shut down... the light and also the electric fan... pero napaka lamig... para akong nasa north pole sa sobrang lamig... i knew na may kasama na ako... kaya ginawa ko kina usap ko na lang i said "mga tol.... wag nyo naman akong takutin... baka ma ihi ako dito.. sige ka pag ng yuari un... babaho dito..." i said that...pero bigla humangin... and naging ma init.... and then i saw a woman and two kid! their we're looking at me... i felt my knees turn to jelly... pero nag paka tatag ako.... i recited the our father's prayer pero inuulit lang nila then i decide to shut down my eyes.... nag bibilang ako ng 1 to 20 when suddenly somebody grab my arms... i scream! pero ng mag mulat ako ng mata....i saw my best friend... sabi nya anong ng yayari sakin sabi ko" mag t apat ka sakin ella...! may multo ba rito sa bahay byo! mag salita ka!" hysterical na ko nun... sabi nya" ano bang ng yayari sayo? nababaliw ka na ba?!" concern in her voice... dun dumating ang papa at mama nya... tinanong nila ako kung anong ng yayari sakin... sinabi ko lahatr ng nakit ko.... and sabi nila... meron daw talaga dun.. isang babae at 2 bata... iniwan daw yung babae ng asawa nya dahil hindi nya tinitigilan ang pag gamit ng drugs... iniwan nya ang dalawang bata sa babae... isang gabi high daw yung babae... pina inom nya ng gaas yung panganay nyang anakl na lalaki at yung isa naman ay nilunod nya... patay na daw yung 2 bata ng ibgti nya ang sarili nya... maraming di nakaka alam sa ng yari... pero sa pang-4 na araw maraming nag taka dahil napaka baho ng amoy na nanggagaling sa loob ng bahay....giniba nila yung pinto then nakita nila yung 3 na naagnas na... naka bitin pa rin yung babae.... nilibing nila kagad ang mag-anak... giniba nila ang bahay... biniling pamilya ng best friend ko yung lote na yun... pina tayuan nila ng bahay... at ever since na tumutungtong ako sa bahay nila ang bigat na kagad ng likod... at nung gabi rin iyon... nalaman ko kung sino sila... at yun ang huli kong punta sa kanila tuwing gabi...
