~CREEPY VIDEO~ ACTUAL GHOST FOOTAGE

An "apparition" is normally regarded as the visual appearance of a human form without the presence of the physical body. The word makes people think of ghosts, but oddly enough most reported sightings concern living people, not those who have passed. Have you ever thought of someone, then the phone will ring and that person is on the other end? Perhaps this appearance of the living is a similar telepathic phenomenon.

Contrary to popular belief, "apparitions" of the dead are not the usual manifestation in a haunting. Most commonly, hauntings are perceived by noises (bumps in the night), smells (such as perfume or flowers), or the sensation of a presence.

They are known to appear in order to warn, give comfort to, or deliver communication to the receiver. Many are found in locations where the person had emotional ties to the site, but most do not respond to human communication. This implies that the visions are just psychic imprints or memories lingering long after the departure of its author.Here is one of the those that we have on our site. There are others, so make sure to check out our other pages as well.

~CREEPY STORY & VIDEO~ A DEMON IN THE BABY'S ROOM.. 100% real as shown on CNN.

PLEASE READ FIRST!... This footage is very very scary and is 100% real as shown on CNN only last month with an exclusive interview with Demonologist Lorraine Warren, who is currently leading the investigation.The babys crib is to the left of the door but isnt shown due to anonymity. The parents had it edited out by zooming in on where the occurances are seen. The legs and part of the crib can still be seen. This is the clip of the incredible footage of a ghost caught on tape by the parents of a 7 month old baby who is still currently being awakened at random by a ghost and annoyed. I recommend turning up the volume for this one and dont worry, even though the footage itself is shocking, there isnt anything that will make you jump up. If you turn up the volume you will hear the scary annoyances that poor baby had to go through. I heard a pig and crying. Not only the baby crying...the crying of a woman. Incredibly spooky. There wasnt anybody near that room for hours and the door opened and closed by itself. Demonologist 'Lorraine Warren',famous for her haunting investigations and many books, insists the footage is real and stated "no foul play" by the childs parents on CNN during the interview and stated that the entity caught on tape was "no trickery due to mishaps or mere shadows". She also mentioned that the entity cannot be passed off as a shadow due to the "contrast and severe cold it emits" as she too and her investigators have been "thumped by it" on 4 different occasions since taking the investigation. The mother told investigators that the baby stopped crying momentarily because he thought it was herself that had come in to check if he was alright.The growl followed and then the sound of the mothers voice crying even though she wasnt crying or near that room.The investagation is still going on and the child is being watched closely, both by the parents,Demonologist Lorraine Warren and unfortunately, by the entity aswell. According to Lorraine Warren, this entity has the ability to copy the voices of people, hence causing much confusion in the house between the parents. The father has been heard using VILE language from inside the childs room and sometimes from under the crib itself, even though he is always at work when it happens. The mother is often heard crying in different rooms around the house by her husband when she isnt crying atall and she, on many occasions, even heard her own voice... crying from both the attic and her babys bedroom. Some of this crying is heard in the footage you will see along with the other disturbances. Much more occurances have been recorded by Lorraine Warren and her team of investagtors but hasnt been shown to the public yet due to the parents wishes of anonymity. Im glad i dont live there! PLEASE COMMENT AND RATE THIS.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
KWENTONG ASWANG:
Noong bata pa ako, marami na akong naririnig ng kwento tungkol sa mga aswang at maligno, ewan ko pero tlgang lumaki ako na may paniniwala sa asawang at maging ako ay nag karoon ng karanasan na makasalamuha at makakita ng aswang, noon nararamdaman ko lang na mayroon aswang sa paligid, lagi silang lumalapit kapag ang bahay ay maroon may sakit o malubhang karamdaman, maririnig mo na lang na prang may kung anung dumadaing sa gilid ng bahay o di kaya may hayop na kakaiba ang huni tulad ng baboy na humihinga sa labas ng bakuran mo, kahit alam mo na walang nag aalaga ng baboy sa mga kapitbahay mo.
Noong bata pa ako, nakakita ako ng mga pulang mata sa taas ng punong mangga sa gilid ng bahay namin, may sakit ako noon at napakataas ng lagnat ko, ng sabihin ko sa nanay ko ang nakita ko agad na nagsaboy ang nanay ko ng asin at minura nya sinabi nya pang kilala kita, at biglang narinig ko ang malakas ng ingay na parang pinunit na maong, at ingay ng dahon ng mangga, sabi ni nanay pag lipas ng ilang sandali, bumaba na ang lagnat ko. kakatwa diba,sabi ng lola, may dalwang uri daw ng aswang . yung lakad at yung lipad, yung lakas sila yung nasa mga silong ng bahay at gilid gilid ng eskinita, at yung lipad naman ay yung nasa mga bubong ng bahay, sabi nila kapag naunahan mo ng tingin ang aswang makikita mo sila ngunit kapag kumurap ka bigla iton mawawala, college yrs ko ng umuwi ako ng late galing sa gimik mga 2am na yun, ang nanay ko pala ay may sakit pero sya pa rin ang nagbukas ng pinto, at sa sofa na lang sa sala ako nahiga sa tapat ng kwarto ng ina ko, nang bigla akong maalimpungatan na may nakatayo sa harap ng kwarto ng nanay ko, nagulat ako hindi ako makakilos, para akong nabangungot, nakita ko ang aswang sa harap ko sumisigaw ako pero wlang lumalabas na tinig sa aking bibig, hanggang pinilit ko ihulog sa sofa ang katawan ko at bigla syang nawala, kilala ko ang aleng nakatayo sa harap ko, ang pula ng mata nya na parang may eyebag na maitim sing itim ng uling, kilala ko sya kse tropa ko ang po nya, at ang damit na suot nya ang madalas nyang suot, patok na aswang sya sa aming magkakamag anak kse pamilya namin ang una sa lugar namin at kilala namin lahat ng mga dumadating na tao, at nakita na rin sya ng tyahin ko, nag anyong aso sya madalas pero ang tsinelas yun pa rin, makapangyarihan ang aleng iyon, batiin ka lang niya sasakit ang tyan mo, minsan nagkagulo ang mga tambay na adiktus sa aming lugar, may aswang daw,. aso" daw pero napalo daw ni dongsy sa likod malaks daw ang pagkakapalo nya, ang aswang kasi kung papatayin mo daw sa likod mo dapat tirahin dun sa lugar na hindi maaabot ng dila nya kse kapag nalwayan nya iyon gagaling daw, iyon daw kse ang healing powers nila, ang matandang iyon ay nagkasakit ng malubha at hindi na nakabangon, so positive diba sya ang aswang...pero sabi nila mamatay lang ang isang aswang kapag may napagpasahan na siya ng kanyang pagiging aswang, .....
Kaya sa ngayun patay na sya...so sino kaya sa mga apo nya ang napagpsahan nya ng pagiging aswang baka yung tropa ko na......
Anu sa palagay nyo?
~CREEPY STORY & PICS~ Haunted Places In Philippines Part 2
Philippines has many haunted places where ghosts and paranormal activities manifest.
A place is considered to be haunted when the presence of spirits such as ghosts of dead people is at a very high level.
Meaning they could always manifest anytime of the day - day and night times.
The hauntings could be the result of a tragic history of a certain place where tens and hundreds of souls were trapped in the area.
There are famous haunted places in the Philippines that could be the subjects of paranormal investigations.
Baguio City - Diplomat Hotel - This was a Seminary during the early 1900, world war 2 came and several priest and nuns were killed some of them beheaded by japanese occupying forces. This was converted into a hotel after the war. In it self it was pretty eerie, big rooms with to king size beds bibles at the side tables and the rooms are dimly lit. Clerks, bell hops, and hotel guest, complain of wailing even during day time, and when night comes, apparitions of headless priest roam the corridors, some even say that they see ghost carrying their heads on a platter. Haunting s are not limited inside the hotel for when you stroll outside the compound you would see neighboring houses with crosses painted on their doors and windows, and are kept shut when darkness falls.
Baguio City - Philippine Military Academy - Several ghosts haunt this place. Sometimes late at night a platoon can be heard marching in the parade grounds. A ghost of a cadet dressed in parade uniform and left in one of the lockers still appears. A ghost of a priest who was beheaded during the Japanese occupation period appears here as well as the ghost of a white lady.
Baguio City - Teacher’s Camp - It is believed that this was once a battlefield of the native citizens there. Ghosts of native warriors, as well as spirits that are still restless, are reportedly seen there.
Corregidor - Hospital Ruins, and bunkers - Sounds of activities can be heard within the area of the hospital ruins, which were destroyed during WW2, sounds such as footsteps, and rumblings of normal hospital activities. Around the bunker area, sounds of ghostly moans can be heard, assorted noises as well.
Espana - Manila - University of Santo Tomas - Ghosts and wailing voices are heard from the 3rd and 2nd floars of UST Main Building. Since this is the oldest building in the oldest Catholic university in the Philippines, it is undoubted that some Spanish friars and Filipino souls were tormented and killed in this place.
Iloilo City - Central Philippine University (CPU) - This school was founded by American Missionaries and during WW2 many of the missionaries were executed by the Japanese.
Iloilo City - Central Philippine University (CPU) - Football Field - A female ghost is said to be seen jogging on the tracks early in the morning. She is said to join you while you are jogging and strikes up a conversation and will disappear after she passes a certain spot. Several students, teachers, and the school president have reported jogging with her.
Iloilo City - Central Philippine University (CPU) - Ruby Hall - A school janitor as well as students and teachers have reported that wile passing by the building at night after it is locked down, one classrooms lights would always be turned on while everything else is shut off. They have reported strange imp like creatures running around the classroom. This is one of the most haunted halls in the university. This is a medical hall and it houses several cadavers for the use of the med. students. From cold spots and moving furniture, to sometimes being pushed or tripped while walking.
Iloilo City - Central Philippine University (CPU) - Valentine Hall - The ghost of a dead female student haunts the women’s restroom, several female students since the early 70’s have reported seeing her. The ghost is usually seen during noon. Classes have been interrupted because of screams from the girls. According to the students she appears behind them while they are looking in the mirror while doing their make up or fixing their hair. The ghost of Rev. Valentine who was beheaded can be seen on certain nights standing at the entrance of the hall dedicated to him. The ghost is reported to be headless.
Katipunan - Quezon City - Balete Drive - Balete Drive is a residential area famous for theapparition of a white lady. It is told that there was a teenage girl who was raped by a cab driver in the 50s in that area. It is possible that the lady of Balete is seeking revenge. Never walk alone at night in eerie Balete Drive.
Katipunan - Quezon City - Miriam College - on the 2nd floor ladies comfort room of the caritas building a nun haunts the bathroom and is said to peak over the stall while girls are using the bathroom. A face can be seen when you look above the door, but there are no feet when you look below the door.
Katipunan - Quezon City - Miriam College - CSC - there was also this “manananggal” that lives there. It used to be a student that was hit by a car inside the campus. Rumors are that every school fair, someone faints.
Katipunan - Quezon City - Miriam College - Immaculate Heart Of Mary Hall - One witness claims that when they where in Grade 3 encountered that a spirit scratched her ankle when they were doing the 99 steps. And then, when she came back to the corridor, she was crying. And then she told us all to cover our nametags and never shout our name until class time.
Makati City - International School Manila (Former Campus) - Fine Arts Theatre - One year, one of the high school students was acting as the stage manager for the Community Play. The theatre was already uncomfortable for her when it was dark, but one night, on her way out, she was leaving through the front doors of the auditorium, something she couldn’t see followed her up the aisle. Very aggressive, very menacing and very scary. She ran out the door just in time as they slammed shut behind her. Suffice it to say, she never stayed in the theater alone again.
Manila - Arellano high school - there are spirits mostly seen by the students and teachers because when a building in front of the school collapsed by an earthquake many years ago, the remains were placed in the said school. so the spirits were staying in that place.
Manila - De La Salle University - A chapel located on the 2nd floor of the De La Salle University -main Building is haunted by several ghosts said to be the victims of a mass killing during World War II. They start haunting the place when evening has crept in and the area is already silent. Sightings of headless monks and screams of people are being heard there during rainy nights.
Manila - Film Center - When the construction of Film Center at the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex was rushed in the early 1980s for a film fest, the ceiling scaffolding collapsed killing several workmen who fell to the orchestra below. Rather than halt construction to rescue survivors and retrieve the bodies of dead workmen, cement was poured into the orchestra, entombing the fallen workmen. Some of them were buried alive in the orchestra. Various ghostly activities were reported on the site including mysterious sounds, voices and poltergeist activity. In the late 1990s a group called the Spirit Questors began to make visits to the film center in an attempt to contact and appease the souls of the workmen who were killed in the building. Some of these spirits claimed to have moved on but a few allegedly remain.
Manila - Ozone Disco - Once there was a disco there and it caught on fire people tried to get out but people were pushing and panicking so no one got out. Some people hear disco music in their houses at night and see faint people dancing and no one can explain how.
~CREEPY STORY & PICS~ SPOOKY STORIES COLLECTION
There was once when I was about 7 or 8 I came home from school and saw my sister in the bathroom. She told me how glad she was to see me because something weird had happened and that she was scared (she was the only one in the house). She showed me how this can of hair spray kept tilting back and forth on the shelf for a few minutes. I thought maybe it was a passing tuck or she bumped the shelf. She said she didn’t.
One night everyone was in bed and it was around 12:00am and I start hearing the cupboards in the kitchen downstairs banging. I really didn’t take much notice of it. This continued though for a while. It was just constant. I tried to bury myself under the covers as I was really scared now. So I am laying there terrified and all of a sudden I hear my dog started to bark. Now I’ tell you…my dog *never* howls or barks. To this day I have never heard him howl again. I ran to the landing on the stairs and told him to shut up! I thought well I am up maybe I’ll check the cupboards in the kitchen now.
So I went down the stairs rather slowly and made my way to the kitchen. The sound of the banging stopped. I bolted up stairs and just cuddled under my blankets. No more sounds though. Then another incident happened when I was about 14, I went to bed before everyone else as we had relatives over. Well I am laying in bed and I start to feel a little bit of a shake. I kind of looked around and thought that was weird. I continue to lay there and felt my bed shake a little harder. This time I sat up and was looking on either side of my bed to see if someone is there. No one there. I thought oh this is just my mind. So I lay back down again and close my eyes. When I did this my bed started to shake rather hard. I jumped out of my bed as fast as I can and ran downstairs. Tell my parents but they did not believe me. I stayed up for another 30 min and went back to bed. No more shaking.
My sister used to be pretty wild. ie coming home really late at night. Anyhow, one day she said how the dog was acting weird. When she comes home sometimes he’ll just be sitting in the living room staring at the wall. She’ll call him and he won’t look. So she goes over to pet him and he acknowledges her and goes back to being normal. Just thought that was weird too. I was laying in bed again. My bed was situated in the corner of the room. So I turned over to go to sleep and my face was looking towards the wall. I then saw a hand make a half circle motion from under the side of the bed over and disappear under the other side of the bed. Even writing this now I can picture what I saw very clearly. Gives me goose bumps just thinking about it.
I remember I read one story somewhere which really freaked me out. I can’t remembe where I read it, but it basically went like this - the goon’s father, when he was younger, was in an apartment. He was asleep, but suddenly woke up and saw a shadow figure coming out from the ceiling, reaching toward him. After he spoken to previous owners of the flat, it turned out that it might be a kid that had been killed in the room above and stuffed in the floor between the ceiling of the room.
On another note, I was staying at dorm during my time in NTU and it was on the 3rd floor. And I think that dorm has been demolished. There are some security guards who would have to do rounds through the whole building, usually alone. Most of floors 2-5 have no lights on at all on them, but sometimes floors that didn’t have lights on will have the lights off the next time through, or lights will suddenly turn on.
I’ve spoken to one security guard and he said it’s really freaky. As you walk past some doors, they’ll creak and make strange knocking noises. And the outside fire escape door on the 5th floor is open every time she comes down there, and only she has the key to the outside. I never go down there alone. It has the atmosphere like in horror movie when you walk into a dark corridor. I always think of Nangnak the horror movie because there was a scene in a hospital corridor that look just like that.
Not sure if you guys experience it but I’ve had those “corner of the eye” sightings several times in my old house. I was staying in a 4 room flat in Hougang in the late 80s, which was built on the site of a cemetery I heard. There are two abandoned cemeteries near Serangoon that side which is very near to our neighborhood. The tombs are barely legible now, and the whole place is covered in brush and in the grass.
One time, I was sitting here at the computer and I saw someone out of the corner of my eye open the door to the room, look in at me, then close the door again. Since I live alone with my dog, I was quite surprised, got up quick and checked it out, but there was no one in the living room. If they’re thief, I would had heard them coming in but there was no noise at all. When I was a little kid, I once saw a lady in cheong sam dress carrying a basket. She was sitting on a bench near a playground, knitting something. Actually, my sister was there with me and saw her too and we were startled and looked at each other, I mean that time was around 10pm, it was quite a spooky sight. Then when we looked back over there she was gone, along with the bench. I know I didn’t dream this up, because I’ve spoken with my sister about it recently, and she remembers it just as vividly as I do.
Sembawang Airbase Incident
I was with RSAF(Republic of Singapore Airforce) in Sembawang when I was younger and we used old Barracks which is Blk 58 in the Field Defence Squadron as our bunk. One night we came to the bunk and the there were some stayed in personnel lined us all up to tell us about what had happened.
Apparently when they booked in that night, they found a woman personnel who had been raped and stabbed about 15-20 times then thrown form the 3rd story balcony. We all kinda freaked out and were sent home. After that all sorts of weird shit happened at the building. When we stayed overnight all sorts of shit would happen. Curtains opening and closing on their own. Books and other junk falling off the shelves. One of the creepiest things were the paintings on the 3rd floor. All the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms were locked and sealed for safety reasons. You could have easily broken a window, but people would notice that.
In one of the rooms there was a painting on both sides of the wall starting to form. There were large windows at the front of all the rooms. Every week we would go upstairs and check them out and every week they would get more detailed. Finally the images became apparent, one was a woman dressed all slutty and one was the Grim Reaper. The room was still apparently completely sealed.
~CREEPY VIDEO~ Ghosts, Spirits, and Demons Compilation
A ghost enthusiast has made an interesting compilation of what he considered the most fascinating ghost and spirit related footage found on youtube.com. Overall, it's probably a mix of real (some that we already have on this the site) and fake videos, but the compilation is very well done nonetheless, and pretty scary at that (You've been warned! Not to watch before bed time!).
~CREEPY STORY~ THE PHILLIPINES MYTHS:
The tiyanak is creature which, in Philippine mythology, imitates the form of a child. It usually takes the form of a newborn baby and cries like one in the jungle to attract unwary travelers. Once it is picked up by the victim, it reverts to its true form and attacks the victim. Aside from slashing victims, the tianak also delights in leading travelers astray, or in kidnapping children.
Tikbalang is a creature of Philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and forests of the Philippines. It is generally described as a tall, bony humanoid creature with disproportionately long limbs, to the point that its knees reach above its head when it squats down. It has the head and sometimes feet of an animal, most commonly a horse. It is sometimes believed to be a transformation of an aborted fetus which has been sent to earth from limbo.
The Sigbin is a creature of Philippine mythology said to come out at night to suck the blood of victims from their shadows. The creature walks backward with its head lowered between its hind legs. It resembles a hornless goat, emits a very nauseating smell and possess a pair of very large ears which are capable of clapping like a pair of hands. It is also claimed to issue forth from its lair during Holy Week, looking for children that it will kill for the heart, which is made into an amulet.
It is also believed that there are families known as Sigbinan (”those who own Sigbin”), who possess the power to command them. The aswang is said to keep it as a pet, along with another mythical creature, a bird known as the Wakwak.[3] The sigbin is said to bring wealth and luck to its owners.
The Sarimanok is a legendary bird of the Maranao people who originate from Mindanao, a major island in the Philippines. Manòk, which makes up part of its name, is a Philippine word for chicken. It is the legendary bird or “artificial cock” that has become an ubiquitous symbol of Maranao art. It is depicted as a fowl with colorful wings and feathered tail, holding a fish on its beak or talons. The head is profusely decorated with scroll, leaf, and spiral motifs. It is said to be a symbol of good fortune.
The pugot is a mythical fiend that is found in the Ilocos region. It can assume various shapes such as hogs, dogs or even as humans. However, it usually appears as a black, gigantic headless being. The creature usually resides in dark places or deserted houses. However, they especially like living in trees such as the duhat (Eugenia cumini), santol (Sandoricum koetjape), and tamarind.
Aside from its shapeshifting abilities, the pugot can also move at great speeds, feeding on snakes and insects that it finds among the trees. It feeds by thrusting food through its neck stump.Although terrifying, the pugot is relatively harmless. However, the creature is fond of women’s underwear and steals them while they are being dried on a clothesline. The pugot is also found in the Ifugao myth “Tulud Nimputul: The Self-Beheaded” where he appears to the human hero. He was fed by the hero with chopped chicken meat that is mixed with blood.
The Penanggalan which is also called Hantu Penanggal is a peculiar variation of the vampire myth that apparently began in the Malay Peninsula. See also the Manananggal, a similar creature of Filipino folklore. “Penanggal” or “Penanggalan”‘ literally means “detach”, “to detach”, “remove” or “to remove”. Both terms - Manananggal and Penanggal - may carry the same meaning due to both languages being grouped or having a common root under the Austronesian language family, though the two creatures are culturally distinct in appearance and behavior.
According to the folklore of that region, the Penanggalan is a detached female head that is capable of flying about on its own. As it flies, the stomach and entrails dangle below it, and these organs twinkle like fireflies as the Penanggalan moves through the night. In Malaysian folklore, a Penanggal may be either a beautiful old or young woman who obtained her beauty through the active use of black magic, supernatural, mystical, or paranormal means which are most commonly described in local folklores to be dark or demonic in nature. Another cause where one becomes a Penanggal in Malaysian folklore is due to the result of a powerful curse or the actions of a demonic force, although this method is less common than the active use of black magic abovementioned. Unlike Manananggal, all Penanggal are females and there is no variation in Malaysian folklore to suggest a Penanggal to be male.
A Nuno which is also called Nuno sa Punso is a dwarf-like creature in Philippine mythology. It is believed to live in an anthill or termite mound, hence its name. Literally, nuno sa punso means Ancestor or Grandparent of the anthill. The Nuno is described to be a small old man with a long beard, and differs from a duwende or dwarf of Philippine folklore. The duwende is a playful hobgoblin who shows himself to children, while the Nuno is a goblin easily angered and will do harm to those who damage or disturb his mound. If an invader destroys the Nuno’s home by kicking it, the offender’s foot would become swollen. Nuno sa punso are also believed to inhabit places such as underneath large rocks, trees, riverbanks, caves, or a backyard.
A manananggal is also called wakwak in some areas Filipino folklore or penanggalan in Malay folklore is a mythical creature. It resembles a Western vampire, in being an evil, human-devouring monster or witch. The myth of the manananggal is popular in the Visayan region of the Philippines, especially in the western provinces of Capiz, Iloilo, Antique. There are varying accounts of the features of a manananggal. Like vampires, Visayan folklore creatures, and aswangs, manananggals are also said to abhor garlic and salt. They were also known to avoid daggers, light, vinegar, spices and the tail of a sting ray which can be fashioned as a whip. Folklore of similar creatures can be found in the neighbouring nations of Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Kumakatok whom are also called door knockers are a group of three robed figures that knock on doors in the middle of the night. These three mysterious hooded figures looked like humans. One resembles a young female while the other two look like old people. A visit from the kumakatok is usually an omen of death as either the eldest or the ill member of the house they knocked upon dies. These visits are also more frequent after a disease outbreak. Residences of Luzon and Visayas painted white crosses on their doors to ward off the kumakatok. This trend caused the trio to switch from residences to government buildings, hospitals, and even churches. The kumakatok vanished or lessened their visits after World War II. A probable explanation is that many buildings were destroyed at that time, denying the kumatakok of doors to knock upon.
~CREEPY STORY WITH A BONUS CREEPY VIDEO~ Philippines True Ghost Stories
I come from Batangas City in the Philippines and am nearing my 40th birthday and throughout my life I have had several experiences, some not as scary as others. There are many widespread haunted stories in this country and I have been witness to some strange and unexplainable things. One such event happened while spending the night at my friends house. We were 11-years-old at the time. We had been told countless numbers of times by her parents to quiet down and go to bed. When Becky and I finally were able to get into bed, her on a top bunk, me on the bottom, we did some talking and were drifting off to sleep when we both heard footsteps outside of her bedroom.
We were afraid it was her father checking up on us so we both closed our eyes and pretended to be sleeping. We heard the door to her bedroom open and felt a draft. There was a very pleasant smell which neither one of us could identify. As we laid there with our eyes closed tight, both of us felt a warm breath on our cheeks and a blanket was placed over each of us.
After the person left we were able to open our eyes. We did not think anything of it until the morning when we talked to Becky’s parents who both told us they did not come into the room. When we told them the story they asked to see the blankets, so we brought them out. Becky’s mother became somewhat pale and told us she had never seen the blankets before. Someone wanted us to be warm and made sure we were taken care of. To this day we have no idea who this person was.
Hi I come from Philippines and I have many stories to tell. To start with ,I was never one who believed in ghosts in the past. People used to say at night, you have to watch where you go because they might follow people around and worse back to your home, I never believe that until one day my best friend came to my house and something happened.
By the way, my house used to be a very old house and it’s been said that entities also live here by some people. Ghosts or dwende*, and my cousin even told me that he saw something at strange at night there before, two times actually.
Anyway, when my best friend was at my house that time, she said she needed to pee so I led her to the bathroom which is on the 1st floor. Shortly after she went in about 2 mins later, she dash out of the bathroom looking very pale and scared. She told me “May multo ng babae sa banyo nio.. mahaba ung hair.. nakaputi!” (There’s a ghost of a lady with long hair wearing white dress in your bathroom.)
I asked her “Nakaihi ka ba?” (Did you get a chance to pee?) [Ed. Ha, ha!]
Then she said “Umurong na ihi ko ayoko na!” (I don’t wanna pee anymore.)
Apparently, she wasn’t the only one who saw that ghost in our bathroom. My cousin’s friend also saw it and how I know it is true? Because they had the exact same description. For several days in school, my best friend kept telling me that she always sees this ghost BEHIND ME, it was following me I don’t even know what it wants from me.
In Philippine folklore, the dwende are little spirits, usually helpful and friendly, but when offended they can cause sickness and even death. They live in houses and occupy themselves by singing, making noise, and throwing sand and pebbles. They sometimes knock over kitchen utensils. “Dwende.” Encyclopedia Mythica from Encyclopedia Mythica Online.
I was was posted to work in the Philippines in the early 90s. I still cannot say I believe in ghosts, but duing my stay there I had an experience that I cannot explain. There were many ghost stories circulating around those people at my work place. There was the story of the “white lady” who was supposedly killed by Japanese soldiers who cut off her head and buried it away from her body. What happened was she haunts the night searching for her head even until today. People said if you see her, tragedy will befall you within 24 hours. Another story is of the cigar-smoking man who haunted the abandoned third floor of a building that the Security Police had to guard. He was never seen but according to many, his presence can be felt by the scent of his cigar and the sound of a deep voice either laughing or murmuring.
Anyways, here’s my experience. In the early 90s when i was there, a large earthquake hit the Philippines. There was alot of damage done, especially near the Baguio City area. Many people died there, and Air Force personnel were deployed to aid in the search for survivors trapped in buildings and for bodies of those less fortunate. I was sent there to help out on temporary duty. The damage of the earthquake was still evidenced by crushed hotels. When we arrived, I was told to report for duty at 0600 hrs the following morning. I was rather upset about this, as I had not brought an alarm clockwith me, and I am not known for being an early-bird. My roommate and I were assigned to a cabin which had separate beds for the both of us. I asked my roommate to wake me up in the morning and proceeded to bed.
At 0500 hs, a Filipina lady was standing at the door to my room and shouting at me to wake up. She was telling me to wake up, it was time for me to go to work. I noticed she was muddy, and she was severely injured and bleeding profusely. She kept telling me to wake up, and I told her I was awake, but she was hurt and we needed to get her to a hospital, she needed medical attention. She told me it was too late for her, but not for me, so I had better get to work. I asked her what time it was, and she said it was 5 am. I thanked her and reached over to get my watch, which was on the table by my bed. Sure enough, the watch said 5 am. When I turned back to her, she was gone and my door was open. The weird thing is, this conversation did not even strike me as odd until I was in the shower! I didn’t tell anyone of my experience for a long time, but I felt it would fit in here.
